The Movie Master teeters between classic horror and a social thriller. Master goes between supernatural forces and very apparent not-so-micro micro aggressions that both equally terrorize the protagonists. This movie delicately balances these two concepts and plays them off each other creating a horror movie that sets itself apart from others.

Films Significance:
As I said previously this film juggles multiple genres creating a complex story for the viewers. This movie invites classic horror fans and gives them exactly what they want: horror. But this film also brings in another genre of viewers, social thrillers. This movie dives deep into institutionalized racism and and its effects in a horrifying manner. While there are some light-hearted moments, this film maintains a serious tone that leaves the audience with a sinking heart.
